The character of “Spot” has gone through many revisions over the years. Originally, in Matt’s renowned whiteboard trick, he would draw a boy’s face on the board and interact with the boy he called “Bob.” Bob eventually turned into Spot, and Matt developed a T-shirt with Spot. He always intended to utilize the T-shirt in a magic trick in the show, but the trick never made it to the stage. Matt created 100 original Spot T-shirts for sale as a prototype run.
